Sunday, September 20, 2009, Arts YOUniverse, 47 North Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA will host THE BELL TOWER JAM to benefit The Holly Petro Fund. The Jam is our response to a tragic moment in late October when a 24-year-old girl, Holly Petro, was involved in an automobile accident. Holly survived the accident but sustained serious injuries that left her in a wheel chair.

In an effort to help, and my belief that music has the power to uplift and heal ... The Bell Tower Jam was formed. Keeping this in mind, the areas finest musicians were gathered, including Cabinet, George Wesley, Plus 3, Fired From Rifles and Ronnie Williams. All scheduled to play on September 20th with additional bands TBA. Please continue to visit this site for the Sunday schedule.

The Bell Tower Jam will be an incredible day of music but is only one day of a scheduled three day benefit for Holly. The event kicks off with an art exhibit and opening reception Friday, September 18th. The works of Keri Pickett, Joe McNally, Gary Monroe, Orville Robetson and others will be featured. The 18th will also mark the start of a celebrity auction that will continue throughout the weekend. Items from Yoko Ono, REM, WILCO, Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King, Dean Koontz and many others from the world of sports, entertainment and celebrity have generously donated items specifically for this benefit. Those of you unable to attend will be able to bid online. Additional information on bidding and a complete list of items will be furnished through this site in the coming days.

10:00 AM Saturday, September 19th will begin a day of art events with a mural being painted for Holly at Arts YOUniverse. The afternoon will be highlighted with a Parade of Bikes/Motorcycle Rally ending at The Polish American Organization in Hudson, PA. This event is being coordinated with help from The Wyoming Valley Motorcycle Club and additional details will follow. This benefit weekend is an opportunity for the community to come together, experience the generosity, talent and beauty of people, in a wonderful setting. Please join us in supporting this worthy cause. All ages are welcome at all events.
